Great bands on show at this year’s Great British Beer Festival

The Great British Beer Festival, taking place from 7-11 August at Olympia London, will play host to an unforgettable music lineup this summer.

For the first time in the history of the annual festival, entertainment during the Thursday session (9 August) will be hosted by Planet Rock. The largest rock radio station in the UK will be bringing bands including Broken Witt Rebels, Danny Bryant, the Dust Coda, Bad Touch, Fireroad and Mollie Marriott with them to captivate the crowds.

In addition, a full entertainment lineup is planned for the rest of the week, which includes appearances from:

  • Chaminade, a string quartet and favourite of the Great British Beer Festival who will bring their unique repertoire to the Tuesday evening session
  • Wille and the Bandits, a classic blues rock three-piece in the vein of Cream or Jimi Hendrix, who will play on Wednesday evening
  • The Gary Fletcher Band, who specialise in blues, Americana and folk music and will play the Friday afternoon session
  • The Mods & Rockers Show, who will play a set of classic songs by artists including The Who, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks to Friday evening
  • The Chiltern Hills Brass Band, graded as First Section in the National Brass Band Registry, will entertain throughout the Saturday of the festival with their wide repertoire

There will also be auctions, traditional pub games and Saturday’s Big Pub Quiz alongside the music lineup.

Catherine Tonry, organiser of the Great British Beer Festival, said: “We always aim to provide plenty of entertainment and ensure that every attendee has something to enjoy while sipping on a beer or trying some new street food. We are very excited to welcome all the talented acts to our festival, including Planet Rock for their Thursday takeover, a first in Great British Beer Festival history!”

The ultimate festival for beer lovers, the Great British Beer Festival will return to Olympia London from 7-11 August. Tickets and a full programme of events can be found online: http://gbbf.org.uk/
